Ever wondered how your online marketing stacks up? Or if you should be using the cloud and other online technology?

We like to think we know a fair bit but we’d never claim to have all the answers and things change so quickly, so we also want to better understand what you think. We want to better understand how firms are currently using technology such as cloud computing and client portals to help create a better and more secure client service. We also want to help accountants identify and evaluate the most successful marketing channels for their firm, and importantly to be able to benchmark their own performance in comparison to their competitors.
Our brand new survey, the 2012 accountancy profession: online engagement benchmarking report sets out to answer these questions and more.
At PracticeWEB we’ve been helping accountants and IFAs to make the most of the internet for over a decade now, and it’s fair to say that not everyone understands or values the importance of online engagement to the success of their firm. At its best it’s a vital tool in developing your practice, improving efficiency and of course building lead generation. If not done successfully, it can drain your resources, money and frankly, your patience.
But currently there is relatively little information on how our industry makes it a success, and even less around how much time firms need to spend on certain marketing channels before seeing a ROI. There’s also not much insight as to how accountants use some of the technology now available such as online back-up facilities or online accounting services.
So we plan to change all that. We’re asking as many accountants as we can to fill in our survey and in return we will send you a free copy of the survey findings in a comprehensive report. It will give you invaluable insight into:
• Comparing your marketing success against that of your competitors
• Understanding the trends in the accountancy profession relating to technology and software usage
• Gaining an insight into the structure, size and regional differences across accountancy firms in the UK
Fill in our survey now (all responses remain confidential and your firm will not be identifiable in the results) and we’ll send you your free copy of the survey findings during October. A little bit of your time for some in-depth and enlightening information that will help you benchmark your own firm.
What do you think the findings will be? Do you have any predictions? Are you already making use of cloud computing or online back-up and seeing the advantages (or disadvantages). Let us know below!
