Richard joined PracticeWEB in 2004 to head up its commercial team and was appointed MD in 2010.
PracticeWEB works with over 1,000 accountancy practices and 500 IFA firms, so Richard has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by professional services firms as they seek to engage more effectively with clients and prospects online. He writes for accountancy based publications on online related subjects from maximising the value of marketing spend to migrating business processes to the web, and recently wrote the forward to the ground breaking 2013 Accountancy Profession Online Engagement Benchmarking Report which surveyed the budgets, strategies, and successes of over 260 UK firms.
Richard is a passionate believer in the power of content to connect firms with prospects and clients, as well as taking the core principles of using networking, business development and client service as the drivers of real value.
As websites become the central point to an ever complex world of social media, interconnectivity, and mobile platforms it’s his job to ensure that PracticeWEB are applying common sense, insight, and pragmatism to ensure you get the most from your marketing spend.
He particularly likes firms who like to get paid by clients, and who aren’t afraid of showing that there is plenty of personality to back up all that expertise.
A passionate Liverpool FC fan he has a keen interest in the arts (still struggling to admit his talents lie elsewhere...), so optimism and creativity are definitely skills learned.
