Say hi to our digital designer Jacob.
Hey Jacob! Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions. What’ve you been up to recently?
We’ve been putting together the Budget for PracticeWeb clients. So turning round a large document in 24 hours(!) which went well. No issues, it was really well received.
I’m also working on some exciting new video content for the PracticeWeb brand.
What’s your official title here at PracticeWeb?
And what do you do day to day?
Most of my time is spent working on PracticeWeb’s clients’ websites, running through those projects from start to end – putting in the design work on that.
Then on top of that you’ve got a lot of work on PDFs and small brand collateral.
What were you doing before you worked here?
I was a freelance videographer and designer. I’ve done videos for Sift but before working here I mostly worked on a mixture of editing and filming for nonfiction pieces.
That included editing a couple of foreign films and documentary pieces. I’ve also made a film for the Welsh arm of MacMillan’s centenary year and a couple of small fiction films.
To start with I was just editing, but as I worked on more projects I got more involved with the whole process – filming, editing and producing.
That’s brilliant. Describe yourself in three words.
Motivated, calm, ambitious.
What do you enjoy the most about working at PracticeWeb?
The people. The people with the culture – that’s everything in this business. The amount of work that we get through wouldn’t be possible without the team that we have.
Everyone has said the people for that question – it’s really telling. What’s the weirdest thing on your desk? I know you designers have some kooky things!
A weird doodle of me that Kai drew…
Need say no more, thanks Jacob!
