Say hello to PracticeWeb’s deputy editor, James.
Hey, James. Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions. What’s your official job title here at PracticeWeb?
What do you do?
Off the top of my head, I write for several happy blogging clients, oversee the daily news feed, newsletters, and provide content for websites.
I manage all editorial calendars, commission freelancers and allocate tasks to writers, while occasionally assisting with marketing communications. I’m sure there’s more.
What were you doing before you worked here?
I was a sports journalist for seven or so years. I had 18 months working for a football magazine and website called FourFourTwo before a similar stint at Press Association.
I then worked for one of the UK’s big three newspaper publishers for three years.
Can you describe yourself in three words?
Honest, diligent, pedantic.
What do you enjoy the most about working at PracticeWeb?
Tough one between the people and the free Lavazza coffee! The people make the job what it is.
Best place in Bristol for payday lunch?
If you’re happy to queue, a spicy chicken wrap from Matina in St Nick’s Market really is top notch.
That’s a new recommendation we haven’t heard before. Thanks, James.
No worries, you’re welcome.
