Hi Lauren, thank you for taking the time to answer these questions. Your calendar looked very busy!

Yeah it’s been a busy week, but it’s nice to be here so thank you for having me.

What’s your official title here at PracticeWEB?

I’m an account manager.

So what do you do?

I am the point of contact for a variety of our clients. There are 4 account managers on our team and we share about 450 clients between us. It’s my job to build relationships, understand their business, goals and marketing, and see how we can support them.

I’m here for them if they have any questions or website problems. There’s always lots of change in digital marketing – one being Google mobile-first indexing, which started in March this year. We inform our clients then advise them to the best of our ability.

What were you doing before you worked here?

I was an account manager for a construction company. Instead of accountants, I worked with people who sold windows and doors. I had a smaller number of clients, but I was involved in their SEO, pay-per-click and social.

I would help develop and communicate a digital strategy to help clients achieve their goals — which is what the account management team is now doing here at PracticeWEB.

Describe yourself in three words.

Talkative, bubbly and blonde because I have those moments!

I think everyone does! What do you enjoy the most about working at PracticeWEB?

I love working with my clients. I’m really interested in their digital marketing and all the new updates to learn and pass on. It’s development for me, but it’s really nice to feel like I’m helping clients achieve their goals.

When I first started, the account management team was really new. Now we’re able to talk to all of our clients and what we can deliver for them is so much better.

What I love about PracticeWEB is that they realised they could be delivering the service they provide, but even better. They’ve put in new processes, hired some really talented people and have developed a great product that is tailored to our target client base.

It’s encouraging to work for a company that isn’t afraid of change and who want to improve to be at the top of their game.

As a whole, the company is growing and improving — the people are amazing, the social aspect is fantastic and we’ve got a really supportive team. If you get stuck on something, you’re not on your own; there’s always someone who’s able to help you.

That’s fantastic. Final question: what’s the weirdest thing on your desk at the moment?

Probably my cactus. It’s called Morgun rather than Morgan. I picked him up at Accountex. I should probably water him after this.
