Job Title: SEO specialist
Job Function: SEO
Location: Bristol (Hybrid home/office working)
Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 depending on experience

You’ll be joining a team of smart people who are fun to be around, who collaborate and support each other and get excited about delivering great results.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the PracticeWeb digital marketing team.

Working closely with the digital marketing team, you’ll be responsible for managing our busy portfolio of clients in the accountancy sector, designing, delivering and reporting on SEO strategies and campaigns.

You’ll have an opportunity to bring fresh ideas to shape this client-facing role, offering insight and expertise on a wide range of accounts, as well as PracticeWeb’s own activity.

We’re looking for someone who is able to help build out our digital marketing services and wants to grow with us – ownership, accountability, enthusiasm and positivity are an absolute must!

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with the digital marketing team and content team to manage a portfolio of SEO projects
  • Reviewing and refining our SEO and digital marketing service offering
  • Carrying out technical and content audits
  • Using SEO tools to gather data and help with content strategy, planning and optimisation
  • Creating dashboards using Google Data Studio to report on each month
  • Conducting a monthly review for each SEO project
  • Ongoing optimisation of client’s websites
  • Contributing to proposals or pitches for client SEO projects
  • Ensuring all projects are kept on time and on budget
  • Keeping professionally up to date with the latest SEO best practice

What we’d like from you:

  • Significant experience working in SEO, either in-house or within an agency environment, and to be an expert in the latest SEO tools and best practices
  • Demonstrable experience of managing successful SEO campaigns – implementing and following measurable frameworks for client projects (ideally working in SEO or digital marketing)
  • In-depth understanding of on-page, off-page and technical SEO strategies – from planning to execution
  • Solid grasp of best SEO practice and familiarity with:

– Google Analytics
– Google Data Studio
– Google Search Console
– Google Business Profile
– SEMrush
– Ahrefs
– Crazy Egg (or other similar CRO software, such as Microsoft Clarity) would be desirable.

  • Ability to analyse, report on and infer insight and commercial recommendations of a website’s performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to organise your workload independently – managing competing demands and taking ownership of your own projects, making sure they’re on time and on budget
  • Willingness to train others when necessary, with a collaborative approach to problem solving
  • A genuine enthusiasm for delivering great SEO services – providing suggestions for improvement and creative solutions alongside the ‘business as usual’ delivery.

Additional desirable qualities, skills and experience:

  • Experience with (or a passion to learn about) Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
