Introducing our new accounting powerhouse

A note from Joanne Birtwistle, Editor-in-Chief, Accounting Division

As editor-in-chief of our new Accounting Division, I want to share some exciting changes to the way we are structured as a business.

You may be aware that PracticeWeb is part of Sift, the digital publisher behind the AccountingWEB brand that has long been a go-to source of news and insights for accountants, bookkeepers, and FDs.

Until now, these two divisions have operated independently but we believe that bringing PracticeWeb and AccountingWEB together as one new Accounting Division will bring more benefits to you our clients and to the AccountingWEB audience.

Accountants are our specialism

As an accountant, specialising in specific sectors can allow you to demonstrate a deeper understanding of your clients’ unique challenges and provide a higher level of service and support.

For more than 20 years, you have been our specialism – and you can rest assured that our focus remains on you and your success. Our commitment to delivering high-quality marketing to you remains unwavering; you’re at the centre of our strategy and plans.

Providing more value

By tapping into the knowledge, community, resources and expertise housed in AccountingWEB we are ensuring that you have an even stronger partner supporting your marketing efforts, freeing you up to concentrate on delivering exceptional service and growing your practice.

If you are an AccountingWEB reader, we are also doubling down on providing more and improved events, targeting content for specific sub-sectors of our audience, and delivering the most value to you.

Here’s just one example: AccountingWEB’s second editorial special report, published later this month, hones in on Practice Innovation and how to make changes that will drive innovation by examining your people, clients, processes, strategy, and technology.

It’s a topic that not only ties in with the continuous improvement ethos of our Accounting Excellence Awards programme but also with PracticeWeb, as we support you in progressing across all these areas.

Another example is Budget Day. PracticeWeb currently offers a fully branded report to clients who take this product. AccountingWEB’s biggest website traffic of the year is Budget Day with its rapid reporting and expert analysis creating valuable insights throughout the day. By combining our editorial expertise we want to make our Budget reports even better – helping you to use the Budget to drive increased traffic to your websites too.

I’m just at the start of my journey with PracticeWeb but I can already see so much opportunity to deliver more of what you want and need. Right now, we are developing the existing product offering – with a fresh new look and revised content for your client base.

Stay tuned for exciting developments and new offerings from us in the future and if you’d like to find out more about how we can help you build your brand, reach more clients, and improve the way you communicate with them, please do get in touch.

Editor-in-Chief, Accounting Division
