What we’re doing to comply with GDPR

by | Apr 13, 2018 | Strategy

In little over a month’s time, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be coming into force.

All businesses, including PracticeWEB, have been getting their houses in order to comply with the EU-wide legislation before it takes effect on 25 May 2018.

Now is the perfect time to update you on some of the changes we’re making to the Landscape content management system to ensure we all remain compliant.

Terms and conditions

We’ve created a new privacy policy which is contained in the footer on all pages of your website.

This has been done to clarify what users can do on your site and how we will manage your data.

Added website security

We can now have add (on request) security in the form of HTTPS, which can be seen at the start of your website’s URL. This will ensure all web traffic to your website is secure.

There are lots of other benefits to having HTTPS on your site, including improving your Google search ranking to set you apart from the competition.

You can find out more about the benefits of HTTPS here.

Email marketing

You will soon be able to include a box on all of your clients’ profiles and email correspondence, which will give them the option to opt-in or opt-out of receiving marketing messages from you.

And finally, we now provide auditing of any changes to new user opt-ins to help you remain fully compliant.
